Gangnam Style - PSY

Gangnam Style is a global hit released by PSY. The video is a satire of PSY's big money lifestyle. However, this was the intention behind the song. PSY wanted to sing and make a music video about mocking the lifestyle in which people chase wealth, and ignore their core needs while doing it. Gangnam is an area in South Korea as Beverly Hills is to the United States. PSY hits the nail on the head as he mocks the pursuit of material wealth as opposed to living a fulfilling live in this dancey EDM track. As PSY said to a newspaper, "Human society is so hollow, and even while filming the music video, I felt pathetic. This song, while a hit with the kids, actually has a much deeper meaning behind it as you can now see.
